About this work

Architectural restoration of facades is a set of works on restoration and improvement of the appearance of buildings of historical or cultural value. It includes assessment of the facade condition, development of a restoration project, repair works, such as restoration of damaged elements, cleaning from dirt and application of new finishing materials. The purpose of restoration is to preserve or restore the historical appearance of the building, improve its appearance and increase its operational characteristics.

My personal opinion

Restoration of architectural facades involves working at heights, and this requires maximum concentration, focus, and precision of movement.

In addition to your professional skills as a craftsman, artist, or sculptor, you must have the agility of a monkey and the fearlessness of a rat: walking on thin iron bars high above the ground, not being afraid of heights, rain, wind, loud sounds, and swaying structures.

Drinking alcohol, even if it was yesterday, and for some, drinking nicotine, will most likely lead to dizziness and, consequently, injury and death. If you accidentally make even one critically wrong move, it will cost you or your colleagues their lives. Often, many people work on scaffolding levels below you without safety equipment or even a helmet, and you are responsible for them too.

1. Study the market beforehand.
2. Ask several local contractors.
3. Offer me your price, which is lower than that of local craftsmen. In any case, I will do it cheaper than most of your local contractors. The reduction in price is due to the fact that in my country (Russia and Belarus) I am used to working with smaller budgets than in the USA, UAE, Germany, and therefore less spoiled by a high salary.
